Kathmandu — A criminal complaint has been filed against Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah, Hamro Nepal founder Sudhan Gurung, artists, YouTubers, and content creators in connection with the September 24 incident.
The complaint was lodged at the Kathmandu District Police Office by Anup Upreti and Rajan Chemjong. The accused face charges including crimes against the state, terrorism, disturbing public peace, illegal possession of weapons, explosives, and damage to national and public property.

The complaint specifically lists the following accused: Sanjog Koirala, Nischal Basnet, Rastriya Swatantra Party leader Jwala Sangroula, Tanuja Pandey, journalist Rajeev Khatri, YouTuber Bhagya Nyaupane, Pradeep Gyawali, comedian Himesh Pant, Bhojraj Thapa, Gen-Z leader Miraj Dhungana, Purushottam Yadav, Raksha Bam, Pravesh Dahal, Yogyata Bhandari, James Karki, Deepakjang Adhikari, Ojaswi Thapa, former lawmaker Sumana Shrestha, KP Khanal, Rima Bishwakarma, TikTok creator Manoj K.C., Yujan Rajbhandari, and Ramkumar Khadka.
The complaint alleges that during the recent Gen-Z movement, the accused misused social media to incite violence and caused damage to public property. Photographs and videos showing acts of arson and vandalism have been submitted as evidence.
In response, comedian Himesh Pant posted on Facebook, jokingly stating, “Today marks the end of my comedy journey.” He also commented, “All this was started by Bhogte.”
