Kathmandu — President Ramchandra Paudel has issued a strong message to political parties, including the CPN-UML, not to evade the upcoming parliamentary elections. During an all-party meeting held at Sheetal Niwas on Friday, he declared that protecting democracy and the constitution is only possible through timely and fair elections.

Urging all parties to stay focused on the House of Representatives election set for 21 Falgun, President Paudel said that “elections are the only way to lead the nation out of the current political uncertainty.” He directed the government to ensure full security arrangements and to restore public trust in democracy.

Paudel called on political parties to avoid confusion and address the concerns raised by the Gen Z movement. He also urged them not to mislead the public or delay the democratic process.

Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki assured that the government is fully committed to conducting free, fair, and fear-free elections. She emphasized that no election can be legitimate without the participation of all parties.

Top leaders from Nepali Congress, UML, Maoist Centre, Unified Socialist, RPP, RSP, JSP, Janamat Party, and others were present at the meeting. Many expressed concern about the current security situation and urged the government to ensure a peaceful election environment.
