More than Rs 6.36 billion has been deposited into Nepal’s prime minister’s Disaster Relief and Rescue Fund following the floods in Rasuwa. Prime Minister Balendra Shah shared the details on Facebook Monday evening.
According to Shah, over Rs 5.87 billion has been deposited across accounts at nine commercial banks, along with more than $3.19 million at Himalayan and Laxmi banks. Several countries and organizations have also pledged financial assistance, while the Prime Minister’s Office has made details of donations publicly available through its ‘Rescue Request Portal.’
