Prakash Kafle/Kathmandu. Election Commission is set to formally issue certificates to 110 members elected under the proportional representation system in the House of Representatives election held on 21 Falgun. The Election Commission Nepal had already published the final list of these lawmakers earlier this week.
According to the published results, 57 seats have gone to the Rastriya Swatantra Party, 20 to the Nepali Congress, 16 to the CPN-UML, 9 to the Nepal Communist Party, and four seats each to the Shram Sanskriti Party and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party.
Following the distribution of certificates, the Commission is also preparing to submit the comprehensive election report to President Ram Chandra Poudel. Once the report is formally presented, it will pave the way for initiating the government formation process under Article 76(1) of Nepal’s Constitution.
