Prakash Kafle/Kathmandu. Chairman of CPN-UML and former Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli has congratulated Balen Shah, senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), on his election victory.
After Shah was elected as a Member of the House of Representatives from Jhapa–5 on Saturday, Oli shared an old photograph with Shah on social media and extended his congratulations.
Oli also wished Shah success for his upcoming five-year term.
In his message, he wrote: “Balen Babu, may your five-year tenure be successful and smooth. My heartfelt best wishes.”
According to the election results, Balen Shah secured 68,348 votes, while Oli received 18,734 votes in the constituency.
