Prakash Kafle/Kathmandu. Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari has confirmed that voting is underway across the country in a calm and enthusiastic atmosphere. Speaking to the media after casting his vote, Bhandari noted that polling is progressing actively in all 77 districts. “Voting started in an organized manner from 7 a.m., and the turnout as well as security have been excellent,” he said. “Once voters receive their ballots, it takes just one to two minutes to complete the process.”
He urged all voters, political parties, and candidates to support a peaceful and lively election.
Bhandari added that ballot boxes will be collected immediately after voting ends, and counting will begin promptly. The Commission aims to release direct election results within 24 hours of counting.
