
Kathmandu: Gold remained unchanged in the Nepali market on Tuesday, while silver became cheaper by Rs. 15 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association. According to the federation, the price of fine gold (hallmarked gold) has been fixed at Rs. 291,500 per tola. Gold was traded at the same rate on Monday as well. As a result, there has been no change in the price of gold for two consecutive days.
Meanwhile, the price of silver dropped from Rs. 4,430 per tola on Monday to Rs. 4,415 per tola on Tuesday. Compared to the previous day, silver became approximately 0.34% cheaper. Under the new rate, the value of 10 tolas of silver stands at Rs. 44,150, whereas it was Rs. 44,300 on Monday. This means the price of 10 tolas of silver decreased by Rs. 150 in a single day.
As the gold price remained unchanged, the value of larger quantities also stayed the same. Based on the rate of Rs. 291,500 per tola, the price of 10 tolas of gold amounts to Rs. 2,915,000. According to Tuesday’s price list published by the federation, gold prices remained stable while silver recorded a modest decline. Buyers will pay the same price for gold as on the previous day, while silver buyers will pay Rs. 15 less per tola. All calculations are based on the official per-tola rates set by the federation.
