Prime Minister Balen Shah has cited the Nepali Congress’s 1960 manifesto while highlighting the work his government is doing to address the landless issue.

According to Shah, his government has so far distributed land ownership certificates to 5,737 families, while 1,311,197 applications have been entered into the system.
He said his government has set a target of solving the landless squatters’ problem within 1,000 days.
