Agra (India)— A tragic turn of events unfolded on Diwali night in Khedi village, Agra, after a woman attacked her brother-in-law following a family dispute and fled the scene.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m. in the Barhan area. According to police investigations, the woman locked herself in a room and used a sharp object to assault her brother-in-law.
The victim was initially rushed to Sarojini Naidu Medical College in Agra but was later referred to AIIMS Delhi due to his critical condition.
Police officials said the accused woman fled immediately after the attack, and a manhunt has been launched to locate her. Preliminary reports suggest that the assault may have stemmed from a domestic dispute during the family’s Diwali gathering.
The injured youth had returned home from Uttarakhand to celebrate the festival with his family.
