New Delhi – The U.S. Embassy in New Delhi has revoked the visas of several business executives and corporate leaders for their alleged involvement in the trafficking of fentanyl precursors. The actions were taken under Sections 221(i), 212(a)(2)(C), and 214(b) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

As a result, these individuals and their immediate family members may now be deemed ineligible to travel to the United States. The Embassy also confirmed that executives connected to companies known for fentanyl precursor trafficking will be flagged for additional scrutiny when applying for U.S. visas.

“Our commitment to combating narcotics trafficking is unwavering. Individuals and entities involved in the illicit production and trafficking of drugs, along with their families, will face consequences, including denial of entry to the United States,” said Chargé d’Affaires Jorgan Andrews.

Stopping the flow of fentanyl and its precursors remains one of the United States’ top priorities. Andrews expressed gratitude to the Government of India for its close cooperation, emphasizing that only by working together can both governments confront this international threat and protect their people from illicit drugs.
