Butwal—A man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a hotel in Butwal. The deceased has been identified as 56-year-old Satish Kumar Kshetri of Chandbari, Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City–6.

According to DSP Indra Bahadur Rana of the Butwal Area Police Office, the investigation is underway from multiple angles. There were no visible external injuries on the body, and the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the postmortem report.
Police said Kshetri had checked into the New Arghakhanchi Lumbini Hotel & Lodge at Milan Chowk on Saturday afternoon with a 30-year-old married woman from Pakha Pani, Butwal–2. Her husband is currently working abroad.
Investigations revealed that although they had booked separate rooms, the two had eaten together in one room. The woman later informed the hotel staff that Kshetri suddenly lost consciousness. He was rushed to Lumbini Provincial Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Police have detained the woman for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.
