Kathmandu—Ashokkumar Yadav, Madhes Province chief of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), has resigned, relinquishing all party responsibilities and membership.

Yadav stated that, given the current political scenario, the development and rights of the country and Madhes cannot be safeguarded through Madhes-centered parties.
In his resignation letter, he noted that, having started his political journey with the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Nepal and faced arrests and cases while opposing injustice, oppression, and discrimination, he has decided to step away from all party responsibilities.
Meanwhile, under JSP Vice President Rajendra Shrestha’s leadership, several leaders are reportedly joining the Nepal Communist Party today.
