The court had found Sunar guilty under the Electronic Transactions Act on Saun 2 and ordered his arrest to proceed with further legal action. Following that order, the warrant was officially issued on July 20.
Similarly, the Surkhet District Court issued another arrest warrant against Sunar on Asar 21, 2081 B.S., in a vandalism and assault-related case. A separate polygamy case has also been registered against him at the District Police Office.
Nepal Police spokesperson DIG Binod Ghimire said that arresting individuals with issued warrants is a part of routine legal procedure. “We don’t look at who the person is—if a warrant has been issued, we act according to the law,” he said.
He further confirmed that, since warrants have been issued against Sunar from two separate districts, the police will proceed strictly in accordance with legal provisions.
