Kathmandu — Nepali Congress leader and former minister Mohammad Aftab Alam is undergoing treatment in the ICU at Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital in Sinamangal due to serious health complications.

He is suffering from a kidney infection and has been on long-term dialysis. Alam previously represented Rautahat in the House of Representatives and served as Minister for Forests and Environment and Minister for Labour and Employment.
