Kathmandu — In a dramatic political shake-up, ten leaders, including three central committee members, have resigned from the NCP led by coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal. They announced their resignation through a joint press statement on Thursday.

Central members Bamdev Kshetri, Govinda KC, and Kismat Bik are among those who quit. Others leaving the party include Province Office Chief Secretary Yagya Pokhrel and Lumbini Province members Krishna Bhandari and Bhakta Bahadur Pun (Jalan), among several others.
All of them have officially joined the Progressive Democratic Party, signaling growing dissatisfaction inside the Prachanda–Madhav faction.
