Kathmandu — Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Chief Director Pradeep Adhikari and Director Murari Bhandari have been placed in custody for two days over alleged corruption during the construction of the Nalinchok helipad. They were taken into custody by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Wednesday.

According to Special Court spokesperson Krishna Sharan Lamichhane, their statements and remand hearing will take place on Friday due to time constraints.
CIAA has filed charges against them along with five others, with a total bond set at NPR 135.7 million.
The accused include Adhikari, Bhandari, Deputy Director Sambriddhi Shrestha, Manager Nalbikram Thapa, Abhiyantra Consulting Pvt. Ltd., and its head Vijay Thapa, and private engineer Gurudatt Adhikari.
