Kathmandu — The price of gold in the Nepali market reached a record high on Wednesday. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers, the rate for hallmark gold has climbed to NPR 248,900 per tola — the highest ever recorded.

On Tuesday, gold was traded at NPR 248,500 per tola.

Meanwhile, silver prices have dropped. Silver, which was traded at NPR 3,325 per tola on Tuesday, fell to NPR 3,240 on Wednesday, according to the Federation.

As of Tuesday, the price of gold per 10 grams stood at NPR 213,390, while silver per 10 grams was traded at NPR 2,778.
