Lamichhane was brought from Nakkhu Prison to the commission’s office in Singha Durbar on Wednesday for questioning. The commission reportedly inquired about the circumstances under which he left Nakkhu Prison during the Gen Z movement.
Lamichhane, who is currently in judicial custody in connection with a cooperative fund embezzlement case, had left the prison on Bhadra 24 citing security concerns. However, he maintains that the prison administration officially permitted his temporary release.
Earlier, the commission had also taken statements from Nakkhu Prison Chief Satyaraj Joshi as part of its ongoing investigation into the Gen Z protest events.
