Kathmandu — A woman teacher from Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, India, has been suspended after a viral video showed her getting her feet massaged by students during class hours.

In the video, the teacher is seen relaxing on a chair, talking on her phone, while two girl students in school uniforms massage her legs and feet.
The incident occurred at the Bandapalli Tribal Girls Ashram School, reportedly during school hours. Authorities have taken the matter seriously, calling it an abuse of power and a violation of students’ dignity.
According to Pawar Swapnil Jagannath, Project Officer of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Seethampeta, the teacher has been served a show-cause notice, and an official inquiry has been launched to determine facts and ensure disciplinary action.
Officials say the video exposes not only negligence in teaching duties but also exploitation of minor tribal girls under her supervision.
