Kathmandu- In a dramatic political development, Rajkumar Sharma, leader of the CPN (Maoist Centre) parliamentary party in Karnali Province, has resigned from his post. Sharma submitted his resignation to Chief Whip Krishna Bahadur Jisi on Wednesday.

Sharma, who recently distanced himself from Chairman Prachanda and aligned with Janardan Sharma’s Progressive Democratic Party, faced imminent disciplinary action from the Maoist party. Before the meeting could take action, he stepped down from the leadership role.

However, Sharma has not resigned from his position as a member of the provincial assembly. The party had earlier instructed him to return to contact by Mangsir 18.
