Kathmandu: Former Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, Hitenndra Dev Shakya, has filed a writ in the Supreme Court seeking reinstatement.

Shakya was appointed as Executive Director of the authority for a four-year term by the previous government. After the formation of the new government following the Jenji movement, Energy Minister Kulman Ghising transferred him.

Shakya has been reassigned from the authority to a specialist position in the Water and Energy Commission.
