According to the weather bulletin issued on Wednesday evening, there is a possibility of moderate rainfall and snowfall in a few places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces on Tuesday night.

Similarly, on Thursday and Friday, most parts of the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces are expected to remain mostly cloudy, while the Terai region will experience partly cloudy skies with chances of heavy snowfall and rainfall in some areas.

The department said that Cyclone “Montha,” which developed over the Bay of Bengal, made landfall in Andhra Pradesh, India, on Tuesday night and has since weakened while moving north-northwestward.

As a result, a low-pressure system is likely to affect Nepal’s weather from Wednesday night until Saturday (Kartik 15), influencing Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, the department stated.
