Continuous torrential rain caused severe flooding at the Hualin economic development zone in Putian City, southeast China’s Fujian Province.
Local authorities quickly mobilized rescue teams and evacuated more than 3,000 stranded workers to safe areas. Photos taken on Sept. 4 show rescuers moving people through the waterlogged zone.
