A stunning new species of snake, the Huaxi Green Pitviper (Trimeresurus lii), has been discovered in the high-altitude forests of western Sichuan, China. Draped in a vibrant grass-green coat with striking amber eyes, the serpent was identified by researchers from the Chengdu Institute of Biology and the Giant Panda National Park.
