Prakash Kafle/Kathmandu. Joel B. Vowell, Deputy Commanding General of the United States Army Pacific, is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu tomorrow for an official visit to Nepal. During his visit, General Vowell is expected to hold meetings with senior officials of the Nepal Army. Discussions are likely to focus on strengthening military cooperation, joint training programs, disaster response coordination, and broader security collaboration between the two countries.
Nepal and the United States have maintained long-standing defense cooperation. The Nepal Army is also a major contributor to United Nations Peacekeeping missions, where it works closely with international partners, including the United States.
Officials believe the visit will further strengthen military and security ties between Nepal and the United States.
