Prakash Kafle/Kathmandu. Nepal Oil Corporation has decided to sell only half cylinders of LPG gas to consumers starting tomorrow in order to manage the supply effectively. The decision was taken amid rising demand for cooking gas and concerns over a possible shortage in the market.
According to the corporation, the temporary measure aims to ensure that the available gas supply reaches a larger number of households. Under the new arrangement, consumers will receive only half a cylinder instead of a full one at a time.
The corporation has also instructed gas dealers and distributors to implement the new rule immediately. Officials say the step is necessary to prevent artificial shortages, hoarding, and black marketing in the market.
The corporation stated that the regular distribution system will resume once the supply situation returns to normal.
