Prakash Kafle/Kathmandu. The war involving Israel, the United States, and Iran has entered its fourth day, with tensions continuing to rise across the region. Amid the ongoing clashes, Israel reportedly struck Iran’s 500-year-old Golestan Palace. While sections of the historic complex sustained damage, officials said that priceless artifacts and cultural treasures had already been moved to safety before the attack.
According to Iran’s Mehr News Agency, the palace—built in the 16th century—once served as the residence and center of power for Iranian monarchs. Today, it stands as one of the country’s most important cultural landmarks and was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2013.
At the same time, U.S. President Donald Trump has advised American citizens to leave the Middle East without delay. He warned that a major strike against Iran may still be ahead. Speaking from the White House on Monday, Trump indicated that the conflict could continue for four to five weeks, adding that military operations might be extended further if required.
The situation in the Middle East remains tense as global leaders watch closely for further escalation.
