Kathmandu: The Nepal government has declared 45 individuals who died during the Gen-Z protests as martyrs.
The protests, held on 23rd and 24th Bhadra, demanded national interest, good governance, and anti-corruption reforms. During these demonstrations, 45 people lost their lives across Kathmandu and other regions.
Government spokesperson and Minister for Communications Jagdish Kharel confirmed, based on studies conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs, security agencies, and district administrations, 45 individuals have been declared martyrs. Further cases are under review.
