Kathmandu. The Bagmati Province government has declared a public holiday across the province on Thursday to mark Language Day.
According to the notice published in the Provincial Gazette, government offices, public institutions, and schools will remain closed. Bagmati has been observing Language Day since 2080 BS.
The province has legally recognized Nepali, Tamang, and Newar as official working languages.
