Gold Price Rises as Silver Drops Sharply

Kathmandu — On the third trading day of the week, gold prices saw a modest rise while silver slipped. Compared to the previous day, gold increased by Rs. 300 per tola, reaching Rs. 298,500, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association. Silver, however, dropped by Rs. 25 per tola, settling at Rs. 4,990.

On Monday, gold had surged sharply by Rs. 5,000 per tola to Rs. 298,200, while silver climbed Rs. 120 to Rs. 5,015. The day before, on Sunday, gold was priced at Rs. 293,200 per tola and silver at Rs. 4,895. Compared to Friday, Sunday’s gold price had risen by Rs. 1,200 per tola from Rs. 292,200.

Internationally, gold traded at $4,320.54 per ounce on Tuesday, slightly down from Monday’s $4,330.92. Silver was at $69.41 per ounce, also lower than Monday’s $70.5.
