International Box Office update: ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ earns 235 million dollars, lower than the projection

Impossible 7 : Tom Cruise starrer ‘Mission Impossible 7’ opened slightly lower than projected at the global box office. It grossed US$235 million in its first weekend in 70 international markets, according to Deadline magazine.

In China, the world’s largest film market, the opening of the film is in third place. The film earned $25.9 million in the Chinese market from Friday to Sunday. The previous film of the series, ‘Mission Impossible: Fallout’, which was released in 2018, had an opening of 76 million dollars.

According to Variety, the film earned 56.2 million dollars between Friday and Sunday in the second largest film market, America. “It’s a weak start for a film that spent nearly $300 million before promotion,” wrote Variety.

The comparison is not correct because ‘Dead Reckoning Part One’ was released on Wednesday instead of Friday. The seventh series grossed an estimated $80 million in its five days of release, followed by Fallout with $77.5 million and Mission Impossible 2 ($78.8 million). But the earnings of Dead Reckoning Part One are more than these two.

Some box office analysts have predicted that the film may pick up in the coming weeks. They think that this film can make good money throughout the summer. Rotten Tomatoes gave this film a 98 percent rating.

At the Nepali box office, the film has collected 36 lakh rupees net on Friday and Saturday. The opening of the film MI series is strong in the world’s 35 largest markets, UK, Australia, Brazil, India, Netherlands and Scandinavia. The film opened to $25 million worldwide in the IMAX version alone. The coming week is expected to be very important for the commercial future of the film.
