Kathmandu- A viral video on September 9 (Bhadra 24) claimed Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel was beaten during protests. However, it has now been confirmed that the man in the video was not Paudel but Lok Bahadur Tandon, chairman of Green City Hospital, who had been providing free treatment to injured protesters.

Tandon had organized an emergency blood drive that collected 218 units of blood. While returning after transferring injured patients to Manmohan Hospital, he was attacked by a mob that mistook him for a political leader.

He insists the attack was carried out by infiltrators, not genuine Gen Z protesters. Tandon is currently recovering at home with minor injuries.
