Kathmandu- Two ministers from the Janamat Party in Madhesh Province have resigned from the government—Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Tourism, Eng. Basant Kushwaha, and Minister for Forests and Environment, Sanjay Kumar Yadav, submitted their resignations on Bhadau 24.

In their resignation letter, they stated that they were stepping down in response to the unstable political situation and in solidarity with the new generation’s movement, pledging to continue their struggle to safeguard the federal democratic republic and strengthen federalism.

Earlier, Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh had announced his resignation via Facebook during the Gen Z protests, but never formally submitted it. Following this, the Janamat Party recalled its ministers from the government.
