Kathmandu—Police Assistant Inspector Ragunikumari Yadav from Rautahat has been named Nepal’s top police officer, receiving the first-place award among officers working in women, children, and senior citizen service centers nationwide.

The recognition came during Nepal Police’s 16-day campaign against gender-based violence, honoring officers for outstanding performance.
On Sunday, Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki awarded Yadav NPR 40,000 in cash along with a certificate of appreciation.
Second place went to Police Havildar Shanta Khatri (Kapilvastu) and third place to Uma Tamang (Sindhuli). Deputy Inspector Purnima Thapa and Assistant Inspector Sajana Prasai received consolation awards with NPR 10,000 each.
