Kathmandu — In the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup Asia-East Asia Pacific Qualifier in Oman, Japan has set a target of 132 runs for Nepal. After losing the toss and being invited to bat first, Japan scored 131 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Japan’s captain, Kendel Kadowaki-Fleming, was the top scorer with 60 runs off 46 balls. He shared an 86-run partnership for the second wicket with Ism Rahman, who contributed 31 runs off 25 balls. Despite heading toward a big total at one point, Japan’s middle-order collapse restricted them to 131 runs.

For Nepal, Gulshan Jha and Sandeep Lamichhane took two wickets each, while Sompal Kami and Gulshan Jha claimed one wicket apiece.
