Kathmandu — Nepal’s Health Ministry has announced that ambulances over 10 years old will no longer be allowed to operate. Violators will face cancellation of their operating permits.
Only ambulances fully compliant with standards and having the necessary permits from the Indian Embassy will be allowed to cross the India-Nepal border.

The directive urges all health service providers, ambulance operators, and stakeholders to follow the regulations strictly. The move is expected to benefit border residents and patients referred to India in emergencies.
