Kathmandu — Newly appointed Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Jagadish Kharel, set a firm tone on his first day in office. After taking the oath at the President’s Office on Monday, he arrived at the ministry to assume his duties.

When staff presented him with the first decision for approval, Minister Kharel declined to sign it, instead requesting a revised version. “I request a decision slightly different from what has been prepared,” he said, signaling his distinct working style from the outset.
