Kathmandu—Arjun Bahadur Shahi, who threatened senior officials after the Gen-Z protest, is accused of fraud and banking offenses.

The 26-year-old from Panchdeval Vinayak–4, Achham, led a group that visited the Civil Aviation Authority, Nepal Airlines Corporation, and the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, delivering threats under the guise of memorandums. Video footage shows the group demanding the resignation of Civil Aviation Authority Director General Pradeep Adhikari and threatening Nepal Airlines Chairman Yubaraj Adhikari at his residence.

Shahi faces three ongoing court cases related to fraud and banking offenses. He was also involved in a bounced check dispute through Red Star Production and Media House.

After participating in Prime Minister Sushila Karki’s oath-taking ceremony following the Jenji protest, Shahi’s group continued to threaten constitutional bodies and senior government officials.
