According to Inspector Madhu Khadka of the Nawalpur Area Police Office, Bhandari filed the complaint today. He said the report has been received and will be officially registered after verification tomorrow.

The incident occurred during a school management meeting on Tuesday when Tamang allegedly verbally abused and physically attacked the principal. Bhandari sustained injuries to her cheek and eye in the assault.

Police sources said the dispute started when Tamang objected to a date mismatch in a notice letter prepared by Principal Bhandari.

The Nepal Teachers’ Federation, Indrawati Committee, has strongly condemned the incident, demanding immediate action against Tamang. In its statement, the federation said, “Such abusive and violent behavior towards an educator is unacceptable. We urge authorities to take strict legal action.”

Witnesses said the assault happened inside the principal’s office after a disagreement over the meeting notice.
