Kathmandu-The government of Nepal has declared today (Wednesday) a National Day of Mourning in honor of those who lost their lives during the Gen Z protests on Bhadau, 23 and 24. According to Home Ministry spokesperson Anand Kafle, all government offices nationwide and Nepali embassies abroad will remain closed, with the national flag flown at half-mast.

The Cabinet meeting on Tuesday also declared the victims as martyrs, formally recognizing their sacrifice.
