Kathmandu—Prime Minister Sushila Karki has decided to downsize her secretariat and advisory group.
The new structure will include only six positions: chief advisor, public relations advisor, principal personal secretary, press coordinator, photographer, and an unpaid public health expert.
All other appointments will be revoked starting tomorrow. Previously, the secretariat had 20 members. The decision comes amid controversy over the appointment of close associates and pressure from civil society groups.
Accordingly, the Chief Advisor will be Ajaybhadra Khanal, Public Relations Advisor Govinda Narayan Timilsina, Chief Personal Secretary Adarsh Kumar Shrestha, Press Coordinator Ram Bahadur Rawal, Personal Branch Officer (Photographer) Keshav Thapa, and Public Health Expert (Unpaid) Dr. Man Bahadur KC.
