Kathmandu—Police raided four hotels and restaurants in Nepalgunj, detaining 45 people in connection with alleged illicit activities. The raids were conducted after complaints surfaced regarding unethical operations at these establishments, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Patali of the District Police Office, Banke.

Among those detained, 31 were women and 14 were men, including eight Indian nationals. The police also took the owners of the hotels and restaurants into custody, and further investigations are ongoing.

The establishments raided included Milan Cottage, Bheri Karnali Hotel, Riverside, and Dangali Hotel.
