Kathmandu – Former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has rejected corruption allegations, claiming he has never been involved in such activities. Speaking to journalists at his residence in Balkot, Oli expressed dissatisfaction over what he described as retaliatory politics and said he has been unfairly targeted.
“I know I am being made the target of attacks. But what is my crime? I have never engaged in corruption. I led the country’s development plans and worked to unite forces against violence and separatism. Is that a crime?” Oli remarked.

The CPN-UML Chairman voiced concerns over what he sees as growing retaliatory behavior and incitement in politics, adding that the country has slipped into a fearful state. “I hear people are seeking revenge. Such anti-political, retaliatory behavior and provocations are everywhere. Where will this end? Shouldn’t peace prevail?” he asked.
Commenting on the Gen Z protests, Oli said the movement had genuine demands such as ending corruption, ensuring good governance, and strengthening peace and order. However, he argued that violent elements had infiltrated the protests. “There must be an impartial investigation into who fired the bullets and why,” Oli emphasized.
