New Energy Minister Kulman Ghising Sends Message to Open Path as per Gen Z Demands

Kathmandu- Newly appointed Energy Minister Kulman Ghising has sent a message to the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, Hitendra Dev Shakya, urging him to clear the way in line with the demands of the Gen Z movement and current public sentiment.

Shakya was appointed as Executive Director by the previous government after Ghising’s term ended in Sawan. Considering the post-Gen Z protest scenario, Ghising emphasized that everyone should exercise discretion and open the path according to the demands before considering other options.

During the protests, Shakya’s house was also set on fire. He had traveled to Korea for a government program before the protests and is returning home today. Ghising intends that Shakya should voluntarily step down after understanding the situation.
