Kathmandu—Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has reduced the transaction limits for debit cards.
Previously, ATMs allowed withdrawals of Rs 25,000 per transaction, Rs 100,000 daily, and Rs 400,000 monthly. Under the new directive, the limits are Rs 20,000 per transaction, Rs 50,000 daily, and Rs 300,000 monthly.

The central bank has kept credit card and prepaid card limits unchanged. Non-bank service providers’ prepaid cards retain a daily limit of Rs 5,000 and a monthly limit of Rs 25,000.
