Kathmandu—In Parbat, a monkey reportedly stole the passports of two tourists visiting Nepal from a bag placed on top of their vehicle near the bungee jump site.

The victims include an Australian citizen and another Nepali tourist. According to DSP Bijay Yadav, police and armed forces conducted search operations on Saturday and Sunday, but have not yet recovered the passports.

“The tourists were heading to Muktinath and had placed their bags on the vehicle roof while visiting the bungee jump site. Upon return, they found the bag missing and reported that a monkey had taken it,” said DSP Yadav.

Police and armed forces are continuing their search in the forested and cliff areas, which are difficult to access. DSP Yadav added, “If the passports are not found, the tourists will need to apply for new ones through official procedures.”
