Kathmandu- Madhesh Province’s Minister for Education and Culture, Rani Sharma Tiwari, resigned from her post on Monday, submitting a resignation letter to Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh.

Sharma, who was appointed from the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP), stepped down just before CM Singh was set to face a vote of confidence. Earlier, Singh’s own party, along with the Nepali Congress and UML, had withdrawn their support for his government.

Amid the intensifying Gen-Z movement, Singh had previously announced his resignation via social media on Bhadra 24 but later reversed his decision. Currently, he retains only the backing of the LSP.
