Bhairahawa- A shocking incident took place at Hotel Nirvana Luxury International in Bhairahawa late Monday night. Gunfire erupted near the hotel’s main entrance following a dispute between two groups, police reported.

According to Rupandehi District Police spokesperson DSP Suraj Karki, one of the hotel’s security guards, 27-year-old Min Bahadur Pariyar from Butwal-15, was shot in the thigh while trying to stop the group from entering the hotel. The injured guard received treatment at Bhim Hospital and was later discharged.

Police said the case is under investigation. Hotel Nirvana, which also houses a casino, is popular among Indian tourists and frequently hosts a large number of foreign visitors.
