Kathmandu — The Ujyalo Nepal Party, led by patron Kulman Ghising, has revealed that continuous dialogue is underway with the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) regarding possible party unity and collaboration.

Party spokesperson Dr. Raju Thapa told Ratopati that efforts for cooperation have been ongoing for a long time, but no conclusion has been reached due to RSP’s repeated and changing conditions. According to him, Ujyalo Nepal is ready to move forward using RSP’s election symbol, the “bell,” and discussions are being held on a modality that includes aligning the party names, keeping RSP’s symbol, and adjusting the central committee structure.
On leadership management, Ujyalo Nepal has proposed creating a new post—a “Senior Vice President with executive authority.”
Thapa said one of the key reasons for the delay in registering the party at the Election Commission was the ongoing informal talks with the RSP. Even after registration, discussions have continued.
However, Ujyalo Nepal claims that although the talks were progressing positively, RSP kept introducing new conditions repeatedly, making the possibility of cooperation uncertain.
Meanwhile, the Ujyalo Nepal Party will be formally announced on Mangsir 17, with Kulman Ghising attending as the chief guest.
