Kathmandu—A deadly accident occurred at Kantipath, Kathmandu-27, where a car hit a scooter, killing the rider and injuring two others.

According to police, the BAB 5724 car struck the scooter (Ba 82 Pa 2088), resulting in the death of 34-year-old Santosh Khadka of Likhu Rural Municipality-9, Okhaldhunga. He passed away Thursday morning during treatment at KMC Hospital.
The crash took place late Wednesday night. Of the two passengers injured on the scooter, one is being treated at KMC Hospital and the other at Teaching Hospital.
Police have taken the car driver into custody.
